UKULELE 201

Course leader Doug Peterman

Thursday mornings 930-1130 starting October 1, 2026

6 weeks

If you have made a start in playing ukulele and want to keep improving, Ukulele 201 is for you. We will be concentrating on developing a strong grasp of rhythm as an expressive tool, exploring beyond basic chords, picking melodies and harmonies and shaping arrangements of the songs you want to play, both solo and with others.

To get the most out of this course, you should be comfortable tuning your ukulele and strumming 6 or more chord shapes without hesitation using various combinations of strokes. Ideally you will have had some exposure to TAB and standard music notation. But most importantly, you should be eager to try new things!

(If you’re uncertain whether this is a good fit for you, please call Doug at 226-448-3879 anytime.)
